The effective date of this Policy is January 21, 2008.
To ensure that your communications are properly routed, we ask that you identify the F+W products or services (web site, magazine, book club, etc.) relevant to your inquiry when contacting us. If you would like to receive a response, please be sure to include sufficient information to enable us to contact you (such as an email or postal address).
We also collect both user-specific and aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit. We use the information to improve the content of our web pages and to customize the content and layout of our pages.
Email address, postal address, telephone number
If at any time you provide us with your email address to place an order or access a service, we collect that information. Areas in which we may collect your email address include but are not limited to discussion boards; chat areas; product or service transactions; emails you send us; and interactive forms. If you provide us with your email address, you may receive periodic promotional emails from us and carefully selected partners with information regarding special offers or new products or services. You may also receive informational emails from us related to any user accounts you have set up with us, as well as administrative notices regarding the operation of the web site.
Visitors who supply us with their telephone numbers online may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding new products and services or upcoming events. We do not rent telephone contact information to third parties.
Finally, we keep any information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations, both in aggregate and personally identifiable ways.
California Privacy Rights
Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, F+W customers who are California residents can request certain information about the sharing of their own personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes during the past year. To help us process your request, please provide sufficient information to allow us to identify you in our records, and identify the F+W products or services (website, magazine, book club, etc.) you have used.
Note that, although you can opt not to receive promotional emails, F+W retains the right to send registered users of its web sites informational email messages about the user’s account or administrative notices regarding the site, as permitted under the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. §7701 et seq.).
If you do not wish to receive mail or telephone calls from us, please let us know by sending your request to: F+W Media, Inc., Attention: List Manager, 4700 East Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. To help us process your request, please include sufficient information to allow us to identify you in our records (at a minimum, we will need your postal address to remove you from our mailing list, or your telephone number to remove you from our call list) and identify the F+W products or services (web site, magazine, book club, etc.) you have used and from whose mailing or call lists you wish to be removed. If you wish to be removed from all F+W contact lists, please indicate so in your request. Please allow a reasonable time for us to process your request.
Upon request we offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in all information we maintain about them.
